Yoga Australia reaches out to regional areas of Australia! Beginning the year off with a successful start to 2017 for the Byron Bay region with its first meeting of the year!
On March the 5th we gathered at the Byron Yoga Centre where we were hosted by a wonderful team and in pleasant surroundings. The meeting was the first of three to be held this year and the sangha was warming and encouraging for future events.
The workshop to end off the meeting was enjoyed by all as we started off with a yoga Mexican wave and the importance of gentle touch which is an essential part of being human. This was followed by “Creative Poses Adjustments” all presented by Gopala Amir Yaffa.
As a committee member it is wonderful to see the interest growing and spreading to regional areas of Australia. The benefits of being a member are numerous and growing not only for yoga teachers or trainers, for the greater community and general public. To have professionals with recognised and high standards of training working in the community will continue to improve yoga’s recognition as a worthwhile addition to anyone’s wellness program.
A huge thank you to all present on the day and who participated in various roles, as the events are only made possible by the willingness of all to participate!
Looking forward to future events and watching the area grow with enthusiasm!
